I had problems with MS Word 2016 freezing, disappearing/returning. Reimage scanned my PC ($39.95) and reported Trojans/viruses. Paid $99.99 for fix as I need my PC to edit for my job. 1st attempt - didn't fix - also 2nd attempt didn't fix. Next day, 3rd attempt - same result - except now I have TWO users on my PC - myself and Owner. Myself has no docs. Owner has no bookmarks (which I need).
Disputed payment with credit card company. Called Reimage to discuss with Finance Dept. Said they would call back. Several hours spent on phone. $140 spent trying to fix PC. Don't believe I had any Trojans/viruses - they just tell you that to upsell the service.
Also try to upsell 1-2 year service. I feel stupid at being conned by these people, but PC World and others recommend them!
I hope I can get a refund. They guarantee for 7 days. I'm going to call every day if I can find the time an am able to deal with the total frustration. I have 3 discrete computers; 2 desktop and 1 laptop. I paid for 3 licenses, downloaded the program and ran it first on my laptop. Took an hour and seemed to be doing its righteous thing. Rebooted and then MS informed me I have 9 important updates to install on my Win 7 Professional system.
Downloaded and installed these updates over and over and over ad nauseum. But even though they say they are installed, they aren't. The 'Control Panel' Update portion always fails to run and the other 'Taskbar' notification is the only one that will, over and over again. Called the support line and eventually got through to a 'Service Rep' and we looked at a lot of stuff and then she told me I needed to speak with a technician who would have to do manual intervention for $245, $590 or $1495 to 'fix' MY problems. Problems which NEVER occurred BEFORE I ran Reimage. Eventually we have agreed that they will refund my purchase price and they were unconcerned about any reviews I might write because they are such a big company.
Their rating system does not contain zero`s or negative numbers because that is what I would assign their support and service. After spending over 40 minutes analyzing my computer the screen pops up with an explanation that it needs to reboot my computer into the 'SAFE' mode to inspect it some more. It asks to do so and I made the mistake of clicking on 'YES ' this then rebooted my computer and instead of me having the choice as to how the computer would start up the REIMAGE software had changed my system to bootup to SAFE only and then it never made it to WINDOWS it just went to a black screen with no boot at all!! SO I now had a computer that would no longer boot to windows - just a black screen!!!
I have windows 7 and had to go out and buy another computer - unfortunately with windows 10 which is also useless!!!! I also had to buy recovery soft ware to try and save all my files.
BTW the reimage software will run for many minutes just to make you think it is really doing a good job!!!!! When in fact I bet it only takes less than a few minutes to actually scan for viruses! SAve your money this program cost me hundreds of dollars as I had to get a new computer that was not destroyed by their software - JUNK. My computer was so screwed up it would barely connect to the internet, then freeze. I read about Reimage and gave it a try. Even with a bad connection it saved the CPU from the trash bin.
It took several hours, but the result was well worth it. My PC ran as fast or faster than when new.
After two years of running well I had the same issues again and purchased another one year of reimage service. Presto, all repairs completed online in a few hours, and now windows system again works like new. I would recommend to any family member or friend. No scam here, Reimage has twice rectified any and all issues with my PC.

This has solved many problems over the years, I have used it on a couple of generations of computers and Windows, and have come to depend upon it. However, one time, when it stopped in mid stride, I contacted support. Ended up speaking from someone in India or Bangladesh.
Came on to my computer and called up a log of all errors that had occurred over the past couple of years, all of which had been corrected in the past. Told me that he could 'correct' them for a fee in excess of $100.
Reimage Repair
I terminated the call and restarted the program in safe-mode. It ran fine and corrected any problems that had existed. I just bought a new Windows 10 computer and decided to check reviews before installing Re Image and was amazed to see all the negative review.
I would say that the program is a world beater but stay away from Tech Support. I note that MalWare picks out anything to do with Re Image as bad stuff. I don't know why. Scan carried out OK. Paid for 'One time Licence Key' £19.95. Started repair and got to 77.5% and froze, left it for 1 hour, still did not move. Deleted every thing & started again.
This time it got to 86.2% and froze again. Left it another hour and still no action.
Tried numerous times to ring help line & every time after about 10 minutes got cut off without speaking to a human. Restored my computer to previous setting & sought a refund. Not had any luck with that so far but I will keep trying.
THEY CHARGED ME £500 for what turned out to be a touch pad malfunction which required a spare part and could not be fixed by their system. They disabled windows.
They claimed that the repair was being done by a Hewlett Packard engineer in their office. HP are adamant that this work was not one by one of their Engineers working at Reimage. My bank is has now instigated a fraud investigation. Reimage do not respond to phone calls or emails - once they have stolen your money they don't want to know.
System is no faster and does NOT perform any better. I keep getting annoying 'Scan Now' messages. I have scanned several times and has to reboot after each one. Rebooting now takes over 30 minutes. Before this scam product reboot took only 3-5 minutes. I have called tech support 4 times in 5 minutes and each time got disconnected after about 60 seconds. I don't believe they have anybody in tech support.
I cannot get a human on the phone so I really think these guys and their company are fraudsters. STAY CLEAR of these crooks and save your money. I found the service via Google. After reading reviews I deducted it's not a spam.
I paid for one year license. The license key was sent to me via email however I did not immediately see where to type it.
I called the Support number and spent 30 minutes listening to the support person explaining why my laptop was not working efficiently and she explained in a long way that an upgrade to the 5-Year license is beneficial. This was the only disappointing bit as it felt like a hard sell.
The lady was insistent on making me understand that I need the upgrade. I turned out I did not need to talk to the support at all. Putting in the licence key fixed my laptop issue automatically. I may have other issues later on and I wanted to have the option to decide on an upgrade at a reasonable time later. I bought the program to fix some.dll issues that it said it could fix.
It ran for about 3 hours. Once done, had to restart computer to finish what it was doing. It restarted and ran another 5-step fix for about 15 minutes and was done. Still had the problem with the.dll file. Noticed it ran a lot slower especially considering the computer was only 3 months old. Turned off computer and tried to start again. It wouldn't start.
It would not power up. It kept saying there were problems with the start up files, It kept running the recovery file. It couldn't fix itself. I tried 4x and never started up. I called the helpline and asked them and they told me I didn't download it right first and caused my problem.
How hard is it to download? That is an automatic thing.
Then they told me that I interrupted the program while it was running, then it was something else I did. I get pissed and told the woman to stick it. She told me that they will help me fix it. She would transfer me to the helpdesk to get them to remotely fix my computer but it would cost me over 100 hundred dollars.
I had to do a total system recovery. I lost everything. Had to redown load systems etc. Over the next two days. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE THIS SYSTEM.
I needed a good virus hunter and wanted a program that could repair damaged files. So i got this program about 2 weeks ago and it said to ' call this number to have program activated ' the lady who answered proceeded to request that she be able to remotely assist which i stupidly agreed to. She ran it then told me i had a trojan in my system32 driver and for $129.00 she could remove it after i had just paid to get the program. Come to find out reimage repair was the source of the trojan. So i paid to be hacked!!!! Now i'm not likely to see a refund and i'm preparing to try to get the auto billing stopped.

Reimage does not offer preemptive protection against malware beyond standard Microsoft security updates. We recommend that you install and constantly update an antivirus on your PC. In addition, we recommend that you scan your system, after using Reimage to repair your PC, making sure that no malware is left hiding disguised as an OS file.
